Two weeks into the primate project and things here are in full swing. Above are some tasters of our progress so far, the results of which will follow soon (as soon as the monsoon rains dry out all of our materials!)
In addition to the progress being made with shelters, enclosures, enrichment platforms and furnishings, I have thus far collected 88 observational hours for each monkey in order to assess baseline behaviours before the installation of our new alterations.
We have had the absolute pleasure of working with the zoo keepers and locals, and have enjoyed utilizing recycled and natural materials, helping the environment as well as the monkeys. Please keep checking in, although we have no internet access at the sanctuary we will do our very best to reach the city each month.
